Math Instructor | Starting pay $12/hr
Turn your love of math into a rewarding part-time opportunity. At Mathnasium of Irmo, you’ll help K–12 students develop problem-solving skills and confidence through personalized instruction, structured training, and ongoing coaching—all while working a consistent after-school and Saturday schedule.
Location: In person in Irmo, SC

Qualifications
- Enjoy math and working with students.
- Bring a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a desire to help students build confidence in math.
- Be open to learning! Complete 15–20 hours of training within your first month, with ongoing coaching to help you get started and grow in the role.
- Build positive relationships with students and families while creating a fun, supportive learning environment.
- Be available for 6–10 hours per week across at least two shifts, including some Saturdays.
- Complete a brief math proficiency assessment as part of the application process.
Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, individualized math instruction using the Mathnasium Method to help K–12 students build skills, confidence, and a positive attitude toward math.
- Support multiple students simultaneously by monitoring progress, correcting work, documenting results, and providing encouraging, constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and communicate professionally with students and parents to ensure a positive learning experience.
- Participate in ongoing training and staff meetings approximately every 4–6 weeks outside instructional hours, apply what you learn, maintain accurate availability, and help with administrative tasks and daily cleaning to keep the center organized. This is an in-person position in Irmo, SC.

Compensation: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
