Job Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and engaging Math Instructors to join our team! As a Mathnasium Instructor, you will work closely with students to help them develop math skills, boost their confidence, and achieve academic success. What you will do as a Math Instructor / Tutor:
- Teach math to students in grades K-12 using the Mathnasium Method™.
- Provide individualized instruction based on each student’s learning plan.
- Utilize the Socratic method to guide students through problem-solving.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Work with multiple students simultaneously while ensuring their progress.
- Track and record student performance and progress in Mathnasium’s system.
- Communicate with the Center Director and team regarding student development..
- Support center operations, including preparing materials and maintaining a clean workspace.
What we are looking for in a Math Instructor / Tutor:
- Strong math competency through Algebra II (or higher preferred).
Passion for teaching and working with kids.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage and motivate students in a fun, supportive environment.
Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a plus but not required.
Must be available to work afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends as needed.
As part of our hiring process here at Mathnasium, all applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
