SALARY Up to $15/per hour

Job Responsibilities:
Student engagement is a foundation stone to success in this role.  As such, the Assistant Center Director (ACD) should expect to spend 10+ hours per week instructing students.  Ideally candidates will be able to work with students up through Cal I.  However, exceptions will be considered for candidates with the right operational and soft skills.  At minimum, the ACD should be competent in teaching all math skills up through Algebra I.

Beyond the instruction part of the role, the ACD will be responsible for the following (under the direction of the Center Director (CD))

  • Take the lead on parent/guardian communication for existing students to include Monthly Care Calls 
  • Acting Ambassador of Fun 
    • Assist in making math fun by managing the fun calendar and in center event coordination
    • Social Media and online presence - Weekly student recognition and/or “about us” staff/cener post
  • Instructional and Training support - 
    • Support for Instructor staff, including New Hire Training 
    • Insuring instruction conforms to the Mathnasium Method
Secondary to the items above, the ACD will

  • Assist CD with coordinate and co-lead regularly scheduled staff meetings
  • Support community/school outreach and event facilitation

Qualifications:
  • Must be willing and able to work from on-site location in San Antonio, TX
  • Passion for math and working with students
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Eagerness to learn and be trained
  • Ability to cultivate teamwork and balance education and sales responsibilities
  • Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
  • Proficiency in computer skills

Preferred:
  • 1-year minimum of recent teaching/ tutoring experience
  • Knowledge of math up to Cal I
  • Excellent Communication skills - (Role will require heavy communication with parents, school administrators, and community leaders)
  • Candidates willing and able to work all open center hours and available for up to 30+ hours per week
  • Prior experience leading a team in an educational environment
Compensation: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
